Nader Ghasemlou, PhD

Nader grew up in Montreal and completed his MSc at Queen’s University in the lab of Dr. Michael Kawaja where he studied neuron sprouting. He obtained his PhD from McGill University, working in Dr. Samuel David’s lab, where he studied the macrophage response to spinal cord injury. He then joined Dr. Clifford Woolf’s lab at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital working on the neuroimmune basis of pain. Nader started his faculty appointment at Queen’s University in 2015. He is also course coordinator for LISC 300, Fundamentals of Discovery in the Biomedical Sciences.
