Our Team
The Ghasemlou lab is a group of diverse and talented individuals, based at Queen’s University and Kingston General Hospital. Our primary focus is to better understand the pathophysiology of acute and chronic pain, in the search for new treatment options. We focus our efforts by studying specific disease states with acute and chronic pain, including multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, post-surgical wound, and peripheral nerve injury. Circadian rhythms are used as a tool to identify endogenous mediators of disease.
